What: Habitat for Humanity Greater SF engages corporate groups in Playhouse Builds, four-hour sponsored events when multiple small teams assemble playhouses with hand tools and power tools and finish them off with hand-painted designs. Who: Appropriate for volunteers 16 and over, event support volunteers (you!) will work with Habitat staff overseeing the event. Volunteers from the event sponsor will be making the playhouses. Your involvement will support our Playhouse Program, a team building activity when we engage corporate sponsors in building playhouses which are donated to organizations serving children in the community. Tasks will include fabricating, finishing, and painting playhouse parts. Location: Habitat Warehouse, 1320 Egbert Ave., San Francisco, CA Scope of Work: Scope of work can include unloading and storing large lumber deliveries, painting pre-cut playhouse pieces, or light woodworking. Power tool experience is a plus but not a must. Training will be provided but for liability reasons, minors will be limited to non-power tool related work.
