Playhouse Build Event Support

Who We Are

Playhouse Build Event Support helps us ensure that groups who sponsor Habitat GSF playhouse builds have a fun, safe, and positive experience while building playhouses that are later donated to organizations serving children in our communities.

What We Do

Volunteers work alongside staff leading groups through the playhouse build. They guide volunteer sponsors while they assemble walls, build roofs, and paint the structures in themes requested by playhouse recipients. Builds can range from a small event with 10-12 volunteers building 1 playhouse while others can be larger with 40-50 people building 4-5 playhouses. Events are typically held at the Habitat Warehouse in the Bayview and on occasion are off-site at the sponsor’s campus. No experience is necessary and training is provided.

More details are included in Opportunities. Minimum age is 16. The three-hour Playhouse Builds usually happen between 9AM-12PM and 1-4PM on the weekdays, with occasional weekends. Volunteer shifts are usually 5 hours long which include set-up, training and take down. Check out our opportunities to join the fun!
