Playhouse Build

Habitat GSF's Playhouse Program is a volunteer engagement opportunity that involves sponsoring groups in building playhouses for community organizations that serve children.
In four hours, Habitat staff and volunteers lead a team of 10-12 people in completing a playhouse. The activity includes assembling a 4 ft X 5 ft outdoor wood structure with hand and power tools and finally painting it according to the recipient's request. Not only do volunteers work together in building the project, they finish it by painting fun and creative images knowing that once placed, children in the community will enjoy it! Past projects include outer space, zoo, ocean and garden themes.
Please note that the Playhouse Build is a sponsored activity that enables Habitat GSF to raise funds to build affordable homes. Sponsorship includes the cost of materials and staff time. Minimum age 16. For more information, please contact corporate@habitatgsf.org.
