Playhouse Prep Support
Playhouse Prep Support helps produce kits used by the Habitat GSF Playhouse Build Program, a popular sponsored team-building activity. Funds raised go towards the essential work of helping preserve homes and providing affordable homeownership opportunities in our region. Production takes place at the Habitat Warehouse in the Bayview, where playhouse builds are likewise held.
Volunteers work with staff to prepare kits. This can include light woodworking, unloading and storing large lumber deliveries, and painting pre-cut playhouse pieces. Power tool activity is limited to 18 years old and over and experience is a plus but not required. If full-on construction is a little intimidating, maybe this workshop is for you!
More details are included in Opportunities. Minimum age is 16. Volunteers under 18 will paint and sand while older volunteers can use cutting tools. Shifts are from 9:00 – 12:00 PM and 1:00 - 4:00PM Monday through Friday. Check out our opportunities to join the community to help families!
